IMPENEM AND CILASTATIN 500

Imipenem/cilastatin is a combination of two antibiotics, imipenem and cilastatin, that is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections such as lower respiratory tract infections, skin and skin structure infections, intra-abdominal infections, and urinary tract infections. The recommended dose of imipenem/cilastatin for adults and adolescents is 500 mg/500 mg every 6 hours or 1,000 mg/1,000 mg every 6 or 8 hours. If you have kidney problems, your doctor may lower your dose.
